Hello everyone! It’s been a while but I am finally back to post a little something.
Today is the end of my 4-day weekend! It’s been a long time since I have had more than one day off in a week so it has been awesome to be home for a bit. I’ve been busy and I have also been lazy, if that can be combined! I’ve been lazy because, in reality, I should have posted this on Thursday when I first took the picture and started the project. I’ve been busy, which is the reason I haven’t posted it until now!
So let’s get to my main purpose, shall we? For a long time I have been wanting to get all the paperwork and research tools I have had packed up for almost 4 years out of my closet and organized! The one biggest issue that has kept me from doing this is, first and foremost, space! We have a busy household here and there is usually no place to try to sort anything! With my daughter leaving for Basic Training (U. S. Army) I have had the option of using her room to do some sorting. It didn’t feel right moving in there and it took me over a month to finally take the steps to do so but I have finally done it!
After a little work, this is the space that I have to work with:
This may not look like much but, for me, this is a lot of space to work with! Granted, this empty bookshelf was only empty because all the stuff that was normally on it was actually on my bed! The main thing is, I had somewhat of a clean slate to start with. Also, the computer here is my 14-year old computer that is still kicking. The only reason I have it plugged in is because I have lost my 500 GB portable hard drive that had everything from it backed up and now I am backing it back up on my 1 TB portable hard drive! As soon as that is done I will put my laptop in there and also put my scanner in place of that huge monitor!
In this initial post, I just wanted you to see what I have to work with. I will post another picture (and post) later tonight to show what progress has been made since Thursday.
Thanks for your time,
