Hello everyone! I just wanted to pop in and update everyone on how life is going. I think I also just wanted to try to get another post in so I will stop seeing that picture I attached to my last post!
Anyway, on to the subject matter… as any genealogist knows, sometimes we are forced to experience this thing that most other folks call “life” and it seems that that has happened to me lately. First off, I’m pretty much useless with my youngest daughter (my “Baby Girl”) gone to boot camp. Life just ain’t the same without her! Now, my oldest daughter is enlisting and goes for MEPS next week and has a date set for August 20, the date of our 25th wedding anniversary. Lots and lots of this “life” stuff happening around me.
I refuse to go down quietly though! Though some may disagree, I do still have a passion for my family history research. I think the biggest thing for me is that I have to make sure that I capture all the family history that is happening all around me everyday! I will! I promise!
Today I am going to start the first stage of setting up a small office in my youngest daughter’s room. I’ve been hesitant because it just feels so strange doing so! However, she’s been gone for a little over a month now and I really need the space if I wish to start sorting through everything that has been packed up for the last 4 years. The bulk of the work will be done next weekend when I will have a 4-day weekend. This one day a week off gig hasn’t been working great but hopefully that will change soon!
As I progress on setting this up and getting my things unpacked, I will begin to update you here on the blog. I’m excited to see some of the things I haven’t seen in over 4 years and to actually be able to re-discover things I was working on when we were so suddenly forced with an unwanted move back to Texas. I must admit that I don’t even recall what I was actually working on at the moment but I’m ready to find out.
So, that’s a small update of what is going on in my “life”. I appreciate everyone’s patience while I get my stuff together.
Have a great Sunday everyone!
