Earlier this week I started posting about my Stevenson Research. Instead of making a bunch of re-posts, I think it would be better to share with you the posts I published in September and October of 2010:
September 12, 2010 – My Stevenson Research Gets Its Start
September 13, 2010 – Stevenson Research Beginnings, Step 1: Verify Information
September 15, 2010 – Stevenson Research Beginnings, Step 2: Find Additional Information
September 17, 2010 – Stevenson Research Beginnings, Step 3: Ancestry.com
September 18, 2010 – Stevenson Research: Elbert Jackson Stevenson
September 23, 2010 – Stevenson Research: Foster Lee Stevenson
September 27, 2010 – Stevenson Research: Charlie Stevenson
October 1, 2010 – Stevenson Research: Raymond M. Stevenson
I think I was really on to something here. I was really enjoying writing about how I was finding information and then writing about each individual and including everything I knew at that time. Unfortunately, this series ended and never started back up. I need to get it going again. There were still 6 more children to talk about, one of them being my grandmother.
Why did the posts stop? Shortly after the post for Raymond M. Stevenson, I posted that it was moving week. We were moving from Havelock to New Bern to be closer to my job. My next post was over two weeks later to say that I was back on-line. On October 25 I posted that I was “checking in”. My next post was over a month later and it was about an event that has changed our lives forever! I think this was when my blogging took a very deep dive! I was writing about my grandson’s diagnosis of brain cancer!
It’s understandable that I never got back to my Stevenson postings. For quite a while all I posted was about Isaiah and his battle. I also need to update everyone on his progress, almost 3 years later!
I’ll cut this short for today as this is bringing up a lot of memories and mixed emotions.
I’ll write again soon,
