I’m sorry that I haven’t updated everyday. News is hard to come by nowadays! Jessica is there but her minutes are limited so she is limited to texting and Trina is here at home, recovering from her upper-respiratory infection. I have been able to gather a little info though!
Isaiah’s “real” chemo didn’t start yesterday as planned. They got him set up but he hasn’t been able to urinate so they had to check him for a kidney infection. Whatever the deal was, they must have solved it because his actual chemo started this morning at 1:30 AM. According to Jess, he’s doing alright but he has been throwing up quite a bit. They’ve given him a nausea medicine which will hopefully help him to feel better.
He’s a soldier, that’s for sure! He’s hanging tough and that makes me so proud! I think we are all dealing with it harder than he is, although he is the one who has to endure all the pain! For some strange reason, my anguish turned to peace this morning. I think I finally reached the point where I realized that I have no choice but to place my little buddy into God’s hand and just trust Him to work this all out.
I’ll hopefully find out more tonight when I get home from work. If so, I will post more then. Until then, here is a picture that Jess sent me today. It’s not that clear but it’s my little buddy sitting in his bed playing with a coffee cup!
Thanks for all your prayers,
