Hello again everyone! I hope you are all doing well! I’m sitting here alone at 2 AM and I figured this would be a good time to do some updates on my precious little grandson!
Isaiah didn’t have to go to the hospital again today. They released him yesterday and his mother and my daughter are taking care of him at the hotel. He still has to do his medicines but Stephanie and Jessica are the ones who are administering them. Today will be the last day of these meds to get his little body ready for the chemo. Thursday is the day when they start the actual chemo and that is the day that I am so not looking forward to. I’d be there in a heartbeat if I knew I could but I have to work and take care of “real life” for now!
My daughter has told me that Isaiah had a little bit of a nose bleed last night and he is very moody and cranky. Of course, this is part of the side effects they were told to expect! Today, I tried my best to not cry but it brought tears to my eyes when I was told that they were brushing his hair and it started to fall out, as was expected. You know it’s going to happen but it is just so sad when it starts!
There are times I wish I could just rewind the clock to this past summer, before all this started, and just freeze time and enjoy my little buddy as much as possible! Unfortunately that is not possible. Now, I just want to be able to be there with him as much as possible but that is relegated to only on the weekends!
Here are a couple of pictures my wife shared with me today. They are of Isaiah at the hotel room tonight. Please continue to pray for my little buddy!
Thanks and have a great day,
