I don’t have a lot of news but the news I have is good. I talked with my wife today and she let me know that Isaiah came out of surgery good last night. He woke up this morning around 5 AM and was laughing and talking and has been doing good. He’s been saying different names he knows and is in a pretty good mood.
Dr. Grant said the surgery was great and that as soon as we get the infection under control he will go in and do the surgery for the permanent shunt. This will lead to the next step which will be chemotherapy. All we are waiting on is for this infection to get under control.
Dr. Grant also said that his brain was doing really well as far as going back as it should be. Perhaps that explains why he is so happy and talkative lately!
I really liked Stephanie’s update on the group, Prayers For Isaiah David. She said that before he went into surgery they were saying their night prayers and when she said “Amen” he said it also. Three times! That’s the first time he has said it! I believe he knows what is going on also. He probably knows better than we do who is working on his behalf right now!
So, for now we are back in wait mode. Waiting for the infection to go down and then waiting for the surgery to put in a permanent shunt. Either way, things are definitely looking up for my little buddy right now!
Thanks for all your prayers!
