This is a photo that was given to me by a cousin I have lost touch with but who did a whole lot of research on my Forbes’ side. She actually went to Wisconsin and got to see a lot of the old sites and speak to some of the Forbes ancestors before they passed on. This is a picture she gave me of my great-great-grandfather, George Washington Forbes. It’s not often you can say you have a picture of your 2nd-great grandfather! He kind of looks a lot like my Uncle Calvin Forbes, or should I say that my Uncle Calvin looked a lot like him!
