Well, following up on yesterday’s post, I wanted to bring another of my dilemmas to my readers.
I’m preparing my other domain for what will be its transformation into my new home on the web. On my last site it was easy to put on front what it was all about. It was about my research on my maternal side. However, this new site will be about maternal, paternal, my wife and children (a family page), my hobbies and other things. I’m really concerned with how I present my start page of my site. Judging from the title you know I am serious about this. My dilemma is how do I present it without turning folks off? Should I be like some sites and just put icons of what is available? Should I just put a menu to the left and a short intro to the right?
I wonder, when you visit a page, what are you looking for? What would be the ultimate start page for a site?
Hey, I’m soliciting opinions and ideas. Anyone out there game?
