Well, it’s been 6 days since I posted anything here. My initial goal was to post as often as possible and I still have that goal. So what happened to me the last few days? Well, sit back and I will let you know!
I have been working on reviving my Family Newsletter. In the last week I have been trying to get it written and printed and now I am in the process of getting all my addresses back together. I have discovered that writing a newsletter is not always an easy process. There have been some times when I am able to sit down and write a six page newsletter in about 30 minutes. Other times I am 3 days in writing a four page newsletter. This was one of those four day newsletters.
I was in the process of getting my addresses together when I decide I wanted to check something on Ancestry.com. While there, I got a pop-up saying I was being given a free 3-day trial, no credit card required. Well, I’ve never used Ancestry’s services so I decided to give it a try. Well, there went 3 days down the drain. No, it wasn’t wasted time because I found a lot of good info and things I couldn’t find elsewhere. It just means that for 3 days I was useless for anything else because I was addicted to the Ancestry site. Now, I find myself thinking that all I have to do is work one day of overtime and I will have enough to subscribe for a full year!
Now, I am back to the real world and trying to get things back on track. I now have my address list ready, my newsletter ready and I am back to blogging. However, I still have so much stuff to file from what I found on the Ancestry site. That means that I will be busy the next couple of days. I also have to adjust my sleep because I am rotating back to night shift starting Friday and then I will have to work 8 days straight because my partner is on vacation.
So, if you don’t hear from me in the next few days you will know what is up. I’m busy doing real-life stuff!
